Best Voice Team Award Criteria 2009

The Best Voice Team Award honors groups of voice actors, whether husband / wife, parent / child, boyfriend / girlfriend, or family voice over talent who work together on voice over projects as a team on a regular basis.

Criteria:

• Voice actors may self-nominate or be nominated by a voice over coach, colleague or client
• A recent sample of the team’s voice over work must be hosted on their Voices.com website
• At least one member of the team must have studied for a period of time with a voice over coach or has extensive years of voice acting experience
• Each voice team needs to have a professional headshot or graphical image representative of themselves or of their work to be used for promotion on Voices.com web properties and complementary voice over sites. If your voice team includes children, please do not include a photograph depicting the child(ren).

Lifetime Achievement Award Criteria 2009

The 3rd Annual Voicey award for Lifetime Achievement (2009) honors voice actors who have been working full-time in voice over in some capacity as a professional for at least twenty-five years.

Criteria:

• Voice actor may self-nominate or be nominated by a voice over coach, colleague or client
• A sample of an actual body of work in .mp3 format for consideration (not a demo) must be sourced
• Has, in addition to their own work, mentored people within the voice over community
• Each voice actor needs to have a professional headshot or graphical image representative of themselves or of their work to be used for promotion on Voices.com web properties and complementary voice over sites
• Voice actor needs to have been a working in the voice over profession for at least twenty-five years
• 3 Letters of Reference demonstrating how the nominee has to given back to the voice over community, including one letter of reference from a youth, one letter of reference from a peer and one letter of reference from a student

Best Foreign Voice Award 2009

The Best Foreign Voice Award honors a male or female voice actors who have been working full-time in voice over as a professional for three or more years.

Criteria:

• Voice actor may self-nominate or be nominated by a voice over coach, colleague or client
• A recent sample of their voice or voice over work must be hosted on their Voices.com website
• Has studied for a period of time with a voice over coach or has attended multiple workshops for voice acting
• Must be a native speaker of a language other than American English or Canadian English. Talent who were born outside of the US or Canada but now reside in either country are eligible to enter. Those born of parents who immigrated to either Canada or the US who grew up speaking the native tongue and dialect of their parents are also eligible.
• Each voice actor needs to have a professional headshot or graphical image representative of themselves or of their work to be used for promotion on Voices.com web properties and complementary voice over sites

Best Male Voice Award Criteria 2009

The Best Male Voice Award honors male voice actors who have been working full-time in voice over as a professional for three or more years.

Criteria:

• Voice actor may self-nominate or be nominated by a voice over coach, colleague or client
• A recent sample of their voice or voice over work must be hosted on their Voices.com website
• Has studied for a period of time with a voice over coach or has extensive years of voice acting experience
• Each voice actor needs to have a professional headshot or graphical image representative of themselves or of their work to be used for promotion on Voices.com web properties and complementary voice over sites

Best Female Voice Award Criteria 2009

The Best Female Voice Award honors female voice actors who have been working full-time in voice over as a professional for three or more years.

Criteria:

• Voice actor may self-nominate or be nominated by a voice over coach, colleague or client
• A recent sample of their voice or voice over work must be hosted on their Voices.com website
• Has studied for a period of time with a voice over coach or has extensive years of voice acting experience
• Each voice actor needs to have a professional headshot or graphical image representative of themselves or of their work to be used for promotion on Voices.com web properties and complementary voice over sites

Best Teen Voice Award Criteria 2009

The Best Teen Voice Award honors young voice actors between the ages of thirteen to nineteen for their voice over work, talent and education.

Criteria:

• Voice actor must be nominated by one of their parents, a legal guardian or voice over coach with the permission of their parent or guardian
• A recent sample of their voice or voice over work hosted on their / or their parent’s Voices.com website
• Each teenager needs to have a graphical image representative of themselves or of their work. No photographs, please.

Best Child Voice Award Criteria 2009

The Best Child Voice Award honors child voice actors between the ages birth through twelve for their voice over work, talent and education.

Criteria:

• Child must be nominated by one of their parents or their legal guardian.
• A recent sample of their voice or voice over work hosted on their / or their parent’s Voices.com website. Requested samples for judging include a radio demo and cartoon voice over demo.
• 1) Radio read: A natural read with at least 4 lines of dialogue read as though the child were on the radio.
• 2) Cartoon: An animated read of some dialogue consisting of 4 lines or more, from a kids book or a role that has been made up. Children can choose a character for this demo where the energy of the read is BIGGER than that of the radio read.
• Each child needs to have a graphical image representative of themselves or of their work. No photographs, please.

Best New Voice Award Criteria 2009

The Best New Voice Award honors voice actors who have been working full-time in voice over as a professional for three or less years.

Criteria:

- Voice actor may self-nominate or be nominated by a voice over coach, colleague or client
- A recent sample of their voice or voice over work must be hosted on their Voices.com website
- Each voice actor needs to have a professional headshot or graphical image representative of themselves or of their work to be used for promotion on Voices.com web properties and complementary voice over sites

Best Personal Branding Criteria 2009

The Best Personal Branding award honors voice actors who have been working full-time in voice over as a professional for three or more years who place great emphasis on their marketing materials, logo and other branding materials.

Criteria:

• Entries in this category are self-nominated
• A recent sample of the voice actor’s voice or voice over work must be hosted on their Voices.com website
• Must have a public relations kit, including stationary, promotional items and so on to be mailed to the Voices.com Offices
• Each voice actor needs to have a professional headshot or graphical image representative of themselves or of their work to be used for promotion on Voices.com web properties and complementary voice over sites
• Voice actors must provide links to all branding materials online as well as send a public relations package to the address below
