Rules
The Voicey Awards have few rules, and as goes with anything, it is best if the rules are followed.
Here are the rules and regulations for the 2008 Voicey Awards:
1. To be eligible to be nominated and qualify to win a Voicey Award, the nominee must be a member of the Voices.com web service. All membership levels, including Premium, Preferred and Guest are eligible to enter.
2. Judges and sponsors may not be nominated or nominate themselves for a Voicey Award during the year they are judging or sponsoring.
3. All nominations are to be completed online at the Voicey Awards website using the form provided on the Nominations page. Entries sent in by email, fax, or mail will not be considered.
4. If presently being taught by one of the judges, a student may not enter the category that is being judged by their instructor.
5. All materials and information submitted to the Voicey Awards become property of Voices.com and can be used on the Voices.com web properties, including Voices.com, VOX Daily, VOX Talk, Voicey Awards, VoiceOverTimes.com, and also on various complementary websites and publications.
Note: For some categories, there is a requirement that a voice actor be a full-time working professional to meet the criteria of particular awards. The definition of “Full-time”, as is relevant to the Voicey Awards, is as follows:
A full-time professional voice actor is someone for whom voice over work is their primary means of individual income.
Voice over is a career that people pursue with the same passion that they would any other profession. The metric of time dedicated to the craft of voice acting is one way of measuring that commitment to the profession as well as acknowledging those who have been pioneers in the field.
